Mosquito Control That Works—Eliminate Adults and Stop Breeding

Effective mosquito control requires more than surface spraying. Our program combines targeted treatments to vegetation, eaves, and resting areas with In2Care stations that interrupt the mosquito life cycle at breeding sites. This dual approach reduces both the mosquitoes biting today and the ones that would emerge tomorrow. Monthly service during the active season keeps your yard protected from spring through fall.

Our Process

The Barrier Method

Three simple steps to a pest-free home. Guaranteed.

Assess
Step1

Assess

Our technicians walk your property to identify where mosquitoes rest, breed, and enter your outdoor spaces. Every yard is different, and treatment starts with understanding yours.

What we look for:

  • Shaded resting areas: trees, shrubs, and dense vegetation
  • Breeding sources: standing water, plant saucers, clogged gutters
  • High-activity zones: patios, decks, and outdoor seating areas
  • Entry points from neighboring properties
  • Conditions that may limit treatment effectiveness
Treat
Step2

Treat

We apply targeted treatments to the areas where mosquitoes actually spend their time—not just open air. Then we install In2Care stations to stop breeding at the source.

Treatment areas:

  • Trees and shrub foliage where mosquitoes rest during the day
  • Eaves, overhangs, and covered patio ceilings
  • Fence lines and property perimeters
  • Around light fixtures that attract insects at night
  • Lawn and ground cover in shaded zones
  • In2Care breeding stations placed in strategic locations
Protect
Step3

Protect

Mosquito control is ongoing, not one-and-done. Monthly treatments during the active season maintain your protection, and we'll return between visits if needed.

What to expect:

  • Noticeable reduction after the first few treatments
  • Monthly service from April through October
  • In2Care stations serviced at each visit
  • Free callbacks if mosquitoes persist between treatments
  • Recommendations for reducing breeding sites on your property
  • Detailed service reports after every visit

Frequently Asked Questions About Mosquito Control

How does your mosquito treatment work?

We use a dual approach. First, our technicians treat trees, shrubs, eaves, and other areas where mosquitoes rest using a powerful mist blower. The mist and blower combination creates turbulence that coats both the front and back of leaves—this matters because mosquitoes often rest on the undersides of foliage during the day. Second, we install In2Care stations in shaded areas of your yard to target mosquitoes at breeding sites, interrupting the life cycle before new mosquitoes emerge. Monthly treatments maintain this protection throughout mosquito season.

What can I expect after treatment?

You can expect dramatically reduced mosquito activity and to be able to enjoy your yard mosquito-free. While no treatment eliminates every single mosquito—neighboring properties, water sources, and natural migration are factors—our dual approach targets both the mosquitoes on your property and their breeding sites. The difference is noticeable, and if issues persist between treatments, we'll come back at no extra cost.

What if mosquitoes come back between treatments?

Our service includes free callbacks. If you're experiencing heavy mosquito activity between your scheduled monthly treatments, call us and we'll return to retreat problem areas at no additional cost. We'll also evaluate whether any new breeding sources have appeared on your property.

Is the treatment safe for my pets and garden?

Yes. Our technicians are trained to apply products safely around pets and gardens. We target mosquito resting areas—trees, shrubs, and eaves—while avoiding vegetable gardens and areas where pets eat or drink. Treated areas are typically safe once dry, usually within 30 minutes to an hour. We'll let you know if any specific precautions apply to your property.

Can you treat my yard before an outdoor event?

Yes. If you have a party, graduation, or other outdoor gathering coming up, let us know when you schedule. We can time your treatment to provide maximum protection for your event. For best results, treatments should be applied at least 24-48 hours before your gathering.

When is mosquito season in Sacramento?

Mosquitoes are typically active from April through October in the Sacramento area, with peak populations during the warmer summer months. We recommend starting treatments in spring before populations build up. Our mosquito program includes monthly treatments throughout the active season.

What about mosquitoes coming from my neighbor's yard?

This is a common concern, especially when neighbors have unmaintained pools or standing water. While we can't treat your neighbor's property, our perimeter treatments and In2Care stations create a barrier on your property. We focus on eliminating the mosquitoes that rest and breed in your yard, which makes a noticeable difference even when neighboring properties aren't treated.

What can I do to reduce mosquitoes between treatments?

Mosquitoes breed in standing water—even small amounts. Check for water collecting in plant saucers, buckets, toys, clogged gutters, and birdbaths. Empty or refresh these weekly. Our technicians will point out any breeding sources we notice during service and provide specific recommendations for your property.

What's the difference between mosquitoes and those small non-biting gnats?

Many customers notice small swarming insects that look like mosquitoes but don't bite—these are usually midges (sometimes called blind mosquitoes). Midges are attracted to moisture and light but pose no health risk. While annoying, they're harmless. Our technicians can help you identify what you're seeing and recommend appropriate treatment if needed.

Why is professional treatment better than DIY sprays?

Store-bought sprays and citronella candles provide temporary relief in a small area. Professional treatment targets mosquitoes where they actually live—resting in vegetation during the day and breeding in standing water. We use commercial-grade equipment like mist blowers to reach tree canopies, dense shrubs, and eaves that consumer products can't effectively treat. Plus, our In2Care stations address the breeding cycle, which DIY products don't touch.
